All sites are shaded by tall, mostly tall Cottonwood trees. Several sites have a creek flowing behind them. It's peaceful, very relaxing and welcoming here. Children are allowed, but there is no play area, which would be needed for longer stays. The owners are very caring and want your stay to be enjoyable. They are very knowledgeable about what's available in Cedaredge, along with the neighboring cities of Delta, Montrose, and Grand Junction. The park is 20 minutes from the cool, green, Grand Mesa. The owners can suggest many places to see on and around the Mesa. To the south is the Uncompahgre Plateau, another scenic must-see area. It's a great base station for exploring a gorgeous section of Colorado. We came for the month of June and are staying through September. We plan to return as often as our travels have us out this way. We highly recommend staying at Shady Creek RV Park!

We "discovered" this park in Spring of '07 and were so impressed that we made reservations for Winter of 07/08 before we left. Now we're back for a 2nd Winter and are just as delighted. The lending library (books & DVDs) has been expanded, a new rec hall has been added, multiple wi-fi hotspots, no traffic noise, beautiful & extensive walking trails in adjacent desert, and the owners are the most friendly, congenial, and helpful we've ever met.

As clean and quiet and friendly as one could wish for. We stayed here a month (the best month of the year for this part of the country) and it was a great basecamp for exploring, but it is remote. No cell phone service but good wi-fi. Great place for a country walk in the evening.

We spent a month here and it was a good base-camp for exploring the area. It is a remote and beautifully wooded setting and facility, with gracious & locally-knowledgeable owners and workcamper hosts. It is remote, though -- no cell phone coverage and 20+ miles to shopping. Wi-fi was limited to near the office. We would stay there again!
